Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by English-American rock band the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Released by Reprise Records in North America and Track Records in the UK in October 1968, the double album was the only record from the band produced by Jimi Hendrix. By mid-November, it had charted at number one in the United States, where it spent two weeks at the top spot. Electric Ladyland was the Experience's most commercially successful release and their only number one album

For some time, it has been speculated that Jimi Hendrix played on one more song with Stephen Stills when Stills was recording his self-titled debut album back in 1970. The song "White " has never been officially released. This set has one track which many of us have been looking out for years, and which I never expected to hear - the Stephen Stills song "White " with Jimi on guitar. I didn't have high hopes for this one - after all, 90 percent of boots claiming to be the Stills/Hendrix sessions are fakes in my experience, and the version of this track which has been circulating for a few years is definitely a 1973 re-recording by Stills with Manassas and has nothing at all to do with Hendrix. Stone Free: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix is a 1993 album recorded by various artists in tribute to Jimi Hendrix. The artists were drawn from many genres of popular music. Contributors include his classic rockcontemporaries Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, blues man Buddy Guy, classical violinist Nigel Kennedy, alternative pop/rock bands Belly and Spin Doctors, hip hop artists P. M. Dawn, among others. The tracks assembled for this, the first volume in a 3-volume set of rare Jimi Hendrix studio out-takes, are comprised of forgotten versions, forgotten songs and recordings that were found in studios, lofts, garages and basements. The false starts and abrupt endings are all part of the experience; the magic moments that provide a unique insight into one of rock's true sonic explorers. This is Jimi Hendrix in the studio, working behind closed doors on works in progress. Presented in a single picture sleeve.
