Album The Thing About Phil Harris. While I was walking down the beach one bright and sunny day I saw a great big wooden box a-floatin' in the bay I pulled it in and opened it up and much to my surprise Ooh, I discovered a ( boom-boom-boom ) right before my eyes Ooh, I discovered a ( boom-boom-boom ) right before my eyes. The moral of this story is if you're out on the beach And you should see a great big box and it's within your reach Don't ever stop and open it up, that's my advice to you 'Cause you'll never get rid of the ( boom-boom-boom ), no matter what you do Oh, you'll never get rid. of the ( boom-boom-boom ), no matter what you do. ( boom-boom-boom 3 strikes on the drum). The Thing is a novelty song that was written by American producer and composer, Charles Randolph Grean, in the year of 1950.

It's intertesting to note that Phil also kept a couple sets of lyrics for some songs. Minnie the Mermaid," as heard on this album, is far more risque' than the version Phil sang on the radio. I lost all my morals, in amongst the corals; that Minnie made a sucker out of me" wasn't how they heard it over the NBC airwaves. This collection of 24 songs from the Good Music Record Company banner lives up to company's name. TECHNICAL QUALITY Some songs on this CD sound great, but some sound horrible.

Phil Harris Vocals - That's What I Like About The South 1947 Phil Harris Orchestra. Phil Harris (born Wonga Philip Harris; [June 24, 1904 - August 11, 1995) was an American singer, songwriter, jazz musician, actor, and comedian. Though successful as an orchestra leader, Harris is remembered today for his recordings as a vocalist, his voice work in animation (probably most famous later in his career for his roles as bears, one being Baloo in Disney's The Jungle Book, and as Little John in Disney's Robin Hood). He also voiced Thomas O'Malley in Disney's The Aristocats. One of those great presences and a wonderfully identifiable voice that still evokes a lot of nostalgia today. I think you could consider Phil the first "rap artist". This is great, thanks! 4 years назад. Skippy Doo. Any man who can say, "If I'd known I was going to live this long; I would've taken better care of myself," can't be all bad.

Phil Harris - That& What I Like About the South Lyrics. Ah, don't take one, have two They're bark brown and chocolate too Suits me they must suit you 'Cause that's what I like about the south. It's a way way down where the cane grows tall Down where they say "you all" Walk on in with that southern drawl 'Cause that's what I like about the south. Sit down where they have those pretty queens keep a dreamin' Those dreamy dreams Well let's sip that? within New Orleans And that's what I like about the south
