David Ian "Joe" Jackson (born 11 August 1954) is an English musician and singer-songwriter. Joe Jackson released ‘I’m the Man’ on October 5, 1979, remaking the image he'd forged with his debut LP ‘Look Sharp!’ . That was the label applied in the late ’70s to Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello and Graham Parker – songwriters and frontmen who became famous on the heels of the British punk explosion. Although these fellows created music as unfettered as the Sex Pistols and the Damned, they seemed to channel the movement’s gritted-teeth rage with their lyrics more than their music. Call it pub rock, call it punk rock, call it New Wave – this was energetic rock with a point of view.

Joe's next chapter in punk. Joe Jackson is an extremely versatile musician. I'm the Man" followed closely after his successful release of " Look Sharp" and raised the tempo even more. However, if you did not relish in the days of punk, do not despair as Joe has included meaningful melodies like "It's different for Girls" and the grooving "Kinda Kute" which slow the pace in time for the next burst of energy and rhythm of the glorious post-disco days . Joe Jackson - I'm the man. Wanted to replace old album. Great to hear after 20 years and still sounds good.
