You are not ready for Periphery IV. You probably think you are, but you are wrong. Not even one single part of you or your existence is currently prepared for what you’re going to experience from April 5 onwards. Let’s rewind before looking ahead

Periphery IV: Hail Stan is the sixth studio album by American progressive metal band Periphery, released on April 5, 2019. It is their first album not to be released on Sumerian Records, as the band parted ways with the label in 2018. The album was independently released on the band's own label, 3DOT Recordings. It is also Periphery's first album since bassist Adam "Nolly" Getgood left the band in 2017, though he still served as producer and performed mixing duties for the album

Periphery IV: Hail Stan marks two significant firsts for the band: the first PERIPHERY release on their recently formed label, 3DOT Recordings, as well as a change in the way they approached writing and recording. We finally spent a year on a record, explains guitar player/programmer Jake Bowen. We’ve never been able to do that. The quality and pacing of the work show we took our time with this one. That’s an important note about this

Hail Stan is Periphery’s most organic and cohesive offering to date, despite paradoxically also being their most tonally and stylistically diverse.

Periphery, one of the frontrunners on the modern progressive metal scene, return this April 5th with the release of their new album titled Periphery IV: Hail Stan, released on 3DOT Recordings - a label that was founded by the members of the band. Before, Periphery were on Sumerian Records since their 2010 debut album

Periphery return with the 6th studio album oddly titled Periphery IV: Hail Stan. One of the leading bands in the Djent movement, Periphery have continually shown growth and maturity with each album and their latest is the culmination of what this band has been aiming towards. The aggressive nature is still very much intact, but this time with more diversity, more melody, and just fantastic songwriting. If you have not given this band a chance before, this is the album to do so. Look no further than the stunning opener Reptile, perhaps the best song the band has done to date  . Meanwhile, Hail Stan is a brilliant album, one worth spending time with. We highly recommend this one. Released on April 5th, 2019 Key Tracks: Reptile, Garden in the Bones, Follow Your Ghost.

PERIPHERY will release its fifth album, "Periphery IV: Hail Stan", on April 5 via the band's own 3DOT Recordings. Sirius XM Liquid Metal host Jose Mangin debuted the album's first single, "Blood Eagle", yesterday. Guitar player Mark Holcomb said of the six-minute track: "We've known since the late stages of P4 writing sessions that 'Blood Eagle' would be the first song we released. It's an unrelenting song that, even while we were writing it, we could say to ourselves, 'We need to play this live.

Periphery IV: Hail Stan is the work of a mature prog band with tongue firmly in cheek (besides the fantastic album title that will have people tripping over their eyes, the album even ends with someone stating suck my balls - these are still the same loveable goofy guys), and I think is easily their best album thus far. Whether or not any of their critics think so, I think the band truly don’t give a damn - this is an artistic statement made as only these guys can. It’s an absolute winner.
