Identity Component sees Morphology return to Zyntax Motorcity for further adventures in the album format, and predictably it's excellent. The opening title track sets the scene, a brief foray through brittle sounding synthscapes that gives way to tunnelling electro grooves daubed with a noticeable degree of foreboding darkness. Subsurface Ocean" in particular is a highlight, successfully poised between introspective textures and neck snapping drum machines with a vicious bassline to boot. Played by. just received this today, so glad to finally have this on cd! I wish Preset would issue the first Morphology full length on cd. Excellent electronics on order here it reminds me of some of the early Warp artificial intelligence releases which is never a bad thing. Techno-electro goodness.

Both records of my copy have a manufacturer fault , somewhere in the middle of a one side of each record there is a "bump" causing the the needle to jump slightly. Has anyone else noticed this on his copy ?

Reply long time coming from somebody, I'm afraid it may be a fault with your copy. Mine is absolutely fine. Great LP. I focus on no particular track as I think they are all equally interesting.
