Drama is the tenth studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 18 August 1980 by Atlantic Records. It was their first album to feature Trevor Horn as lead vocalist and keyboardist Geoff Downes, following the departures of Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman after numerous attempts to record a new album in Paris and London had failed. Drama was recorded in a short amount of time as a tour was already booked prior to the change in personnel.
Drama is the tenth studio album by the English rock band Yes, released on 18 August 1980 by Atlantic Records. It is their only album to feature Trevor Horn as lead vocalist, and the first with keyboardist Geoff Downes, following the departures of Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman in March 1980 after unsuccessful recording sessions for a new album in Paris and London; Horn and Downes also formed the new wave duo The Buggles together, and had recently released the international hit "Video. Killed the Radio Star"
It rocks harder than other Yes albums, and for classically inclined fans, it was a jarring departure; but it was a harbinger of Yes and Asia albums to come. A newly emboldened Chris Squire lays down aggressive rhythms with Alan White, and Steve Howe eschews his usual acoustic rags and flamenco licks for a more metallic approach, opting for sheets of electric sound. Prime cuts include the doom-laden "Machine Messiah" and the manic ska inflections of "Tempus Fugit.

Yes released 'Drama' in August 1980. Drama"? To say the least. Following the release of their divisive ninth LP, 1978's Tormato, Yes found themselves gazing weakly into a New Wave-y new decade. Weighed down by mounting creative and personal strain, keyboardist Rick Wakeman and frontman and chief songwriter Jon Anderson fled the band in March 1980, leaving the core trio – guitarist Steve Howe, bassist Chris Squire and drummer Alan White – without a sense of direction.
Drama became in one of the best prog albums of the 80’s. Drama is the tenth studio album of Yes and was released in 1980. The line up on the album is Trevor Horn, Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Chris Squire and Alan White. Drama is a unique and special album of Yes. It’s their only album, until then, without their front man Jon Anderson. After Tormato, while the group was working to release a new studio album, Anderson left the band due to creative and financial differences. Soon he was followed by Rick Wakeman who believed that Yes couldn’t continue without Anderson’s voice.
The Yes Album is the third studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 19 February 1971 by Atlantic Records. It is their first album with guitarist Steve Howe, who replaced Peter Banks in 1970, and their last in the 1970s to feature keyboardist Tony Kaye. The album was the first by the group not to feature any cover versions of songs.
